About the Role:
Focus Marketing Company is seeking a creative and organized Content Creator and Social Media Manager to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional or student seeking hands-on experience in content creation and digital marketing across a variety of clients and industries.

You’ll have the flexibility to build your own schedule and work remotely, but we prefer someone based in the Greater Kanawha Valley area, as the role may include gathering content in person at local events, businesses, and other community locations.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging social media content (visuals and narrative) for multiple clients and platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram)

• Capture or source photos and videos on-site as needed

• Use tools like Canva (or similar) to design visually appealing graphics

• Assist in drafting content calendars and scheduling posts

• Collaborate with the Focus Marketing team to develop and maintain brand voice and consistency for each client

• Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media

Qualifications:

• Experience using Facebook and Instagram for business

• Proficiency in Canva or similar design platforms

• Strong writing and storytelling skills

• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently

• Creative mindset with attention to detail

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transportation for occasional on-site content gathering (preferred)
